Himchari National Park
Himchari National Park is a beautiful tropical rainforest.is a unique place comprising the scenic beauty of green hills and blue waves of the vast sea. The forests that have high, low forest cover, grassland with some trees and has a series of waterfalls. Some areas of grassland that can be affected before the park is fully customizable. Although the Bay of Bengal is not far from the Park. Himchari does not have any intertidal habitats.
To protect the area from encroaching developments, HNP was established in 1980 by the Bangladeshi government as a conservation area for research, education and recreation. The Park is protected by the wildlife (preservation) Act of 1974. It comprises the reserve forest areas of Bhangamera and Chainda blocks under Cox's Bazar Forest Department. Evergreen and semi-ever-green tropical forests are found in this area.
Geography and climate
The forests of the reserve and Chainda Bhangamura blocks formed under the Division of Cox’s Bazaar Forest South. This is about twielve km south of Cox’s Bazar,Bay of Bengal in the west.This is the Cox's Bazar located at 21°35′0″N 92°01′0″E
The climate of Bangladesh is mostly determined by its location in the tropical monsoon region: high temperature, heavy rainfall, generally excessive humidity, and distinct seasonal variations. The climate of Cox's bazar is mostly similar to the rest of the country. It is further characterised by the location in the coastal area. The annual average temperature in Cox's Bazar remains at about a maximum of 34.8 °C and a minimum of 16.1 °C. The average amount of rainfall remains at 3,524 mm.

The flora and fauna is abundant and birders not stop pleased with the large birds.
. The Himchari Natural Park is a biologist’s delight! There are more than 50 species of trees,including Grewia microcos, Dipterocarpus turbinatus,Vitex pedurcularis, and Pterospermum acerifolium, while beautiful orchids break the innumerable shades of green with splashes of color.The forest area has some twenty types of important herbs, amongst which Swintonia floribunda,Curculigo recurvata,and Alpinia nigra are most valuable.Many of the herbs found in Himchari National Park have therapeutic properties that the local people understand and can make use of.
Every bird watsner would love to visit the Himchari National Park, because more than 286 species can be sighted here. Hirundo rustica, Cypsiurrus parvus, and Acridotheres fuscus, are some of the common sightings which birders can notch up on their lists. The forest and the grasslands also support lizards and frogs in large numbers and variety. There are some herds of elephants and other wildlife as well in these tracks. The United States has an agreement with Bangladesh to try and induct tigers in to the forest areas. Leopards are in the forest area already. A waterfall is another attraction for tourists who may have only passing interests in the amazing array of flora and fauna on display.
At one time the stomping grounds of herds of Asian elephant, Himchari is still home to a limited number of these majestic animals. Other mammals that visitors may see when exploring the park include Gibbon, Rhesus Macaque, Leopard Cat, Fishing Cat, Tiger, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Dhole (also known as the Asiatic Wild Dog) and Indian Muntjac. Additionally the Himchari National Park is home to around 56 species of reptiles and 13 amphibian species.
